On March 1, 2021, the first stage of the International competition of student scientific works “Black Sea Science”, which is held annually on the basis of the Odessa National Academy of Food Technologies under the auspices of the Black Sea Universities Network and ISEKI-Food Association, has been officially finished.

The jury of the Competition included 106 specialists, including 62 from 19 foreign countries: USA, Germany, Switzerland, Angola, Benin, Czech Republic, Italy, China, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Belarus.

At the first stage of the competition were 239 works from Ukrainian and foreign institutions have been submitted, including from 40 universities in countries such as Germany, Canada, USA, Costa Rica, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Israel, China, Turkey, Macedonia, Poland, Slovakia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Moldova, Bulgaria.

At the first stage of the competition there was a review of scientific papers by members of the jury and their online discussion in meetings held from 22 to 26 February 2021. In each field, the finalists have been determined (25% of peer-reviewed works according to the rating). They were invited to participate in the second stage of the competition.

The second stage of the competition began on March 15, 2021. Finalists were invited to present their work at an online conference. Based on the results of the presentation and the participant’s report, the jury chooses the winners.

All participants and their scientific advisors were rewarded with certificates. The works of the winners (optional) were published in the proceedings of the competition. The order approving the list of winners of the competition No. 198-03 dated 02.04.2021.
