International competition of student scientific works “Black Sea Science” is held annually on the basis of the Odesa National University of Technology under the auspices of the Black Sea Universities Network and ISEKI-Food Association
In 2026, the jury of the competition included 162 specialists, including 85 from 26 foreign countries: USA, Canada, Spain, UK, Germany, Denmark, Oman, Turkey, Angola, Benin, China, Bulgaria, Hungary, Macedonia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia, Estonia, Greece.
Registration of participants and submission of works for the first stage of the competition lasted until February 2nd, 2026. At the first stage of the competition, 455 works from Ukrainian and foreign institutions have been accepted, including those from the universities of India, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom, Austria, France, Algeria, Germany, Latvia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Romania, Albania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Georgia, Azerbaijan.
At the first stage of the competition, there was a review of scientific papers by members of the jury and their discussion in online meetings. In each field, the finalists have been determined (25% of peer-reviewed works according to the rating). They were invited to participate in the second stage of the competition.
The results of the first stage of the competition are as follows:

- Economics and administration
- Information technologies, automation and robotics
- Power engineering and energy efficiency
- Ecology and environmental protection
- Tourism, hotel and restaurant business
The second stage of the competition will be held in April, 2026. The finalists are invited to present their work at the online conferences. Based on the results of the presentation and the participants’ reports, the jury will select the winners.
