2022

The first stage of the International Competition of Student Scientific Works “Black Sea Science 2022” has been officially concluded on February 28, 2022. This competition is held annually at the Odessa National University of Technology with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine under the auspices of Black Sea Universities Network and ISEKI-Food Association, in collaboration with the scientific journal Central European Researchers Journal.

In 2022, the competition has been held in the following areas:

The jury of the contest consisted of 117 specialists. 73 of them were from 19 foreign countries: USA, Germany, Switzerland, Angola, Benin, Italy, China, Turkey, Pakistan, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Slovakia, Georgia, Bulgaria, Moldova.

225 works were submitted during the first stage of the competition, including 45 works from foreign universities, with 16 of them developed in conjunction with Ukrainian HEIs, 27 from ONUT and 10 from ONUT colleges, as well as 143 works from other Ukrainian institutions. The works were submitted from 27 foreign universities in countries such as USA, Germany, India, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania, Serbia, Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria, and Moldova.

In the first stage of the competition, the jury members reviewed the submitted works. The jury of each field made a majority decision to determine the finalists (25% of the rated papers according to the rating) based on the reviews and open discussion. The meetings took place online from February 21 to 28, 2022.

In accordance with the Decree of the President of Ukraine of 24.02.2022 № 64/2022 “On the imposition of martial law in Ukraine” and №133 / 2022 “On the extension of martial law in Ukraine” of 14.03.2022, the international competition of student scientific works “Black Sea Science 2022” (hereinafter – the Competition).

Due to the uncertainty of the date of completion of hostilities on the territory of Ukraine, and the impossibility of holding the second stage for objective reasons, the Organizing Committee decided:

  • To summarize the Competition according to the results of the first stage.
  • To determine the winners among the finalists according to the rating of the first stage of the Competition by degrees: certificates of the first degree (20%), certificates of the second degree (30%), certificates of the third degree (50%).
  • To publish, with the consent of the authors, the works of the winners in the proceedings of the Competition.
