International competition of student scientific works “Black Sea Science” is held annually on the basis of the Odesa National University of Technology under the auspices of the Black Sea Universities Network and ISEKI-Food Association
In 2023, the jury of the competition included 145 specialists, including 78 from 22 foreign countries: Angola, Benin, USA, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Great Britain, Greece, China, Turkey, Lithuania, Latvia, Slovakia, Estonia, Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Poland, Georgia, Romania, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Moldova.
Registration of participants and submission of works for the first stage of the competition lasted from September 1, 2022 to February 1, 2023. At the first stage of the competition were 378 works from Ukrainian and foreign institutions have been submitted, including from 40 universities in countries such as Germany, Oman, Algeria, Lithuania, India, Serbia, Croatia, Pakistan, Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria, Moldova
At the first stage of the competition there was a review of scientific papers by members of the jury and their discussion in online meetings. In each field, the finalists have been determined (25% of peer-reviewed works according to the rating). They were invited to participate in the second stage of the competition.

The second stage of the competition began on March 23, 2023. Finalists were invited to present their work at an online conference. Based on the results of the presentation and the participant’s report, the jury chooses the winners.

All participants and their scientific advisors were rewarded with certificates. The works of the winners (optional) were published in the proceedings of the competition. The order approving the list of winners of the competition No. 126-03 dated 03.04.2023.
